Selective formation of neodymium phosphate from iron-neodymium magnet waste

چکیده

Neodymium-iron-boron alloy, Nd2Fe14B, is used as a material for magnets. Neodymium one of the valuable and expensive rare earth elements often recovered to reduce costs environmental impact. Recently, method recovering neodymium phosphate from mixed solutions was reported. This very useful because main component ores phosphates, there are well-established methods refining earths phosphates. study attempts obtain using acid dissolve waste magnets, reducing agent, phosphoric acid, pH adjuster. The diluted (hydrochloric nitric acid), amount ascorbic values were studied clear suitable conditions. color heat-treated product, precipitate yield, Fe/Nd molar ratio indicated that low concentration required. Excessive use improved composition. high value decreased selectivity due easy formation iron hydroxide. process addressed in this promising it does not require heating at temperatures or special reagents.
